Open ms access on a shared drive (need this on vmware)

While trying to set an environment with vmware - windows to run ms access applictions, a message appeared that is was not able to open the ms access on a shared drive. While i want all my documents to be on my mac (backup reasons), i want them to open through the shared drive in vmware.
The solution is simple, but on a place where i wouldn't start looking.
Open internet explorer > extra > internet options or configuration > internet options
Choose the tab securtiy, select local intranet and then press websites, then press advanced.
Type .host , without the http ... stuff, and press add.
From now on you can open ms access files ( and problably others ) without restriction.

Before you try it from
Before you try it from vmware, see that you can connect to the other computer and access the file.
Maybe you have still to add rights to file on the other computer so you can use it.
When this is settled, try to connect to that other drive from vmware ... etc
